Bookings exploded, but cash lagged. Profound team was bogged down in admin tasks. GTM team chased invoices instead of deals.
Monk jumped in over Christmas break and turned manual account receivables workflows into a cash engine that frees up the sales team to close more deals and allows the biz-ops team to drive the business.
Challenge
Profound team was facing a number of challenges:
- Sales and operations teams were bogged down in manual AR edge cases that had to be solved to get the deal through
- Cash-on-hand lagged forecast despite growth in sales
- AR lived in siloed spreadsheets
- CPA lacked invoice visibility and was spending time on Quickbooks reconciliation
- Leadership had no real-time view into revenue and customers. This problem exacerbated when Profound launched a self-serve PLG motion
Our Solution
Over Christmas week Monk connected HubSpot, QuickBooks and set up a bi-directional sync across every internal data source provided by the Profound team.
Then Monk built an invoice aesthetic that matches the Profound brand and communication guidelines for collection agents. Invoice submissions are now fully automated for Coupa, Ariba, and 11 bespoke F500 AP portals, allowing the Profound team to focus on growth.
Collections are handled in a professional manner with full business context and escalation rules defined ahead of time. In Q2 CY25 Profound built an industry-defining self-serve product with billing via Stripe, which Monk also supports.
