Oat Wongsajjathiti’s path to software wasn't obvious.

He was a computational researcher at McGill, studying nanoparticles in a materials lab. Good work. But he wanted to build things, not just study them. So he taught himself to code, moved to Vancouver, and started different eng jobs.

First a small studio. Then a stealth startup. Then Streamlabs, where he met George in 2018.

His first project with George was in winter of 2018. They built a trading exchange for creators where each content creators had their own crypto currency that would change value based on the # of activities on the exchange and in the outside world. They worked like hell, but that bet failed. They focused on the core Streamlabs business and built a # of moonshot products in the creator space. By the time Logitech acquired it, Streamlabs was paying out creators 100s of millions, handling millions of MAU and was the #1 platform for content creators who livestream. They were a small team and he learned a ton.

After Streamlabs, he worked at Bolt and founded Hirable, then co-founded Bluebelt.. Bluebelt is an AI recruiter built for the trades. They processed 250,000 applicants, completed 5,000+ voice interviews, and helped over 500 people find real jobs. Carpenter, security guard, roofer.

He learned a lot building on his own and betting on himself.

So when George called about Monk, he didn't need a long pitch.

He knew George. He knew what happens when this team is focused. And he knew the problem = accounts receivable is hard, broken, and he's seen the pain running BlueBelt.

He joined the guys as the founding engineer to focus on conversational AR agents.

Monk's approach - they call it "Boring Agents by Design" resonates with him. In high-stakes financial workflows, the worst thing an agent can do is surprise you. They constrain their agents intentionally. They build in guardrails. They audit everything. His time at Bluebelt reinforced this: in workflows where the stakes are real, failure modes matter more than features.

He's been building alongside George since 2018. He's seen what this team does when the stakes are high.

Monk is searching for other 2nd time founders to join. Apply here.
