Kendall Warson didn't take the obvious path to Monk.

She started in fashion: Marc Jacobs, Helmut Lang, DVF. She studied at Parsons and RISD, spending years learning how objects and spaces communicate before they say a word. Design as language.

Then she made a left turn. She became the first employee at Wonderspaces, a startup that brought immersive art to cities that didn't have it. She scaled it from one location to four in two years. The shows she curated drew 150,000 to 200,000 visitors every three months.

She didn't stop there. She built her own company. Kendall was the founder and CEO of Cohart, an art marketplace that changed how people discover, buy, and sell art online. She raised money, hired a team, found customers, and figured out what it costs to build something from nothing.

Kendall didn't need to join an early-stage startup. She'd already done it. Kendall was looking for an experienced team that was building in applied AI with a strong business model and a path to building a big business.

But beyond that, Kendall was also searching for a place that takes brand, design, and growth seriously.

At Monk, we strive to bring the polish and simplicity of consumer to the office of the CFO. We are early in our journey, but we care deeply about the brand, how our product looks and feels. We think that both function and feel are inseparable.

At Monk, Kendall is leading growth. That means building the engine that turns a great product into real customer momentum. It means obsessing over positioning and the moment a potential customer first encounters what we've built. It means making sure Monk doesn't just win deals = it wins the right ones, with the right companies, for the right reasons. It also means investing in a # of our growth tactics using AI and building an LLM-first growth engine.

Similar to Rafael and Oat, Kendall is a 2nd time founder joining the team.

Monk is a small team by choice. We believe a small group of exceptional people beats a large team, especially today with LLMs.

Kendall raised our bar by selecting to join us and we are proud to build with her.

If you're the kind of person who wants to do the best work of your career = surrounded by people who take craft seriously and move fast = we're building that team right now.
